Preston D. Miller Sr. Lectureship
This lectureship was established in honor of Preston D. Miller Sr. by his son, Preston D. Miller Jr., in 2008. Preston Sr. was a member of the MCV School of Dentistry class of 1936. "P.D." Jr. followed in his father's footsteps and graduated from the school in 1963. Several years after establishing a scholarship in the name of his father, he remembered his father's interest and fondness for the school's annual reunion events and wanted to pay tribute to his father's legacy with a special lectureship.
The intent for this fund is to establish a lectureship as an integral part of the school's growing annual reunion program and give alumni an opportunity for a continuing education course. "P.D." Jr. was the inaugural lecturer of what will become a new tradition for alumni during this festive weekend. Additionally, this lectureship provides annual funds to assist with the honorarium for the lecturer.
