Tell us a little bit about yourself:
From a young age, I have always wanted to try a little bit of everything, whether it be a new activity or a new place. In my free time, I love to explore Richmond, as it is a vibrant city full of personality. I also like to read fiction novels, exercise, and spend time with family outside of school.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
A few years ago, I volunteered on a dental mission trip that served rural communities in Vietnam. This experience showed me how access to dental care and education on oral health is just as impactful as the treatment itself. I want to help provide care and education to any and all communities.

I am the oldest of 3 and a product of my refugee parents’ endless love and sacrifice. I strive to be as selfless and resilient as they are. I aim to learn by absorbing the world around me: meeting new people, valuing different cultures, exploring unique destinations, and discovering hidden food gems

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Growing up in a family of strong women in dentistry, I gravitated toward the field instantly. I witnessed dentists transform lives, instill a newfound confidence, and build lasting relationships. Soon, I got to see tears of gratitude fall from my own patients’ eyes beholding their new smile.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in Virginia. I have a cat named Raja that really acts like a dog. I love to dance. I was on a competitive dance team at UVA. I also love to spend time with my family and friends!

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
I feel like as a dentist I will be able to educate my patients about their health, and how they can take care of themselves and their teeth. I always wanted to go into a profession where you can influence and help others, and that's why I love dentistry!

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I'm outgoing and friendly with many people but friends with few. Those I love, I love fiercely. I love my home and have a constant urge to use my skills in giving back to the community. I have leadership skills but at the same time I can be also a team player. My hobbies are gardening and shopping.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
I was inspired to pursue dentistry after interacting with a group of volunteering dentists from Operation Smile in Vietnam. Their selfless service in providing dental care to those in need was something that I want to emulate. Dentistry can physically change a person's wellbeing through oral health.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am second year dental student and a native Virginian. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and in my community volunteering my time and efficiency. I am a first generation American who really enjoys the best of both worlds. I enjoy my cultural heritage and American values.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
My passion for dentistry is deeply rooted in my affection for service. Dentistry allows me to serve patients to directly alleviate symptoms and to provide holistic care by treating the patient and not just the symptoms. The longevity of dentist-patient relationship allows for compassionate care.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in Hanover, Virginia. When I am not working or at school I enjoy golfing and watching sports. My favorite sports teams are the Minnesota Vikings and any VCU team, especially basketball. I also enjoy spending time with my two and brothers and our parents on weekends.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
I am passionate about dentistry because it combines many characteristics that I love doing. First, I am able to provide a service for people that may relieve them of pain and unhappiness. I also enjoy the challenge that the hands on aspect of dentistry presents in a variety of different ways.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
When I was three years old, my father abandoned our family. My mother has since done her best to provide me with everything in life to succeed. My mother is a breast cancer survivor. I hope one day give my mom everything she deserves in life. I continue my education, in hopes of making her proud.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
My passion has increased since I got into dental school. Every day, I know I choose the right career for me. I enjoy working with people and making people happy. Seeing a patient smile and completing their treatment is beyond any other feeling.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I currently enjoy water sports and boating, and spending time with my puppy Beau. My hobbies include painting, cooking, crafting, running, working out, photography and decorating my new apartment. I enjoy entertaining and spending times with friends, family and loved ones.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
I am passionate about dentistry because I enjoy educating patients about prevention, as well as the mechanical and technical skill required to work in the mouth, and most importantly I love that it is a career that offers so many community service opportunities to give back to those less fortunate.
