Marshall P. Brownstein, D.D.S. Scholarship

Marshall P. Brownstein, D.D.S. Scholarship

In 2013, Dr. Marshall P. Brownstein retired after a 40-year-long career in dental education, including 30 years at the VCU School of Dentistry. Beginning in 1975, Brownstein served as the assistant dean of admissions and student affairs as well as an associate professor of pediatric dentistry. During his lengthy tenure, he met and mentored hundreds of aspiring young dental students. And those students have not forgotten him.

To honor their mentor and friend, several of Brownstein’s former students joined together to create the Marshall P. Brownstein, D.D.S. Endowed Scholarship. Just as Brownstein fostered the development of budding dentists at VCU, the scholarship, which will be awarded annually, will support deserving dental students.
