Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am always in search of new adventure and information. You can find me kayaking, hiking, or cooking up a new dish I heard about from my girlfriend. I value strong relationships and actively build up my peers. I was born in India, moved to Canada, then to the US but I feel most at home in Richmond.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
My learned life lesson is, health is irreplaceable. Objects can be replaced but you only get one ticket at life. My dad was a dentist and suffered a debilitating stroke. He inspires me to be in healthcare, to change someone's life, and to educate that oral health does impact overall health.

I was born and raised here in Richmond, VA. I enjoy spending time with my family as well as the amazing friends I've made in dental school. Outside of school, you can find me attending a fitness class or trying a new restaurant.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Dentistry is truly a super-career. It incorporates science, art, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to deliver something that impacts the overall well-being of a person. Dentistry will allow me to educate, advocate and serve my community while simultaneously building long-term relationships.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
In one year I will become a second generation dentist following in my father, Charles Barrett's footsteps. We have a close bond and when we are not conversing about dentistry, you can find us along the river banks fishing, or attending a UVA sporting event!

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Dentistry provides the unique opportunity to provide relief to people with a chief complaint of a functional issue, esthetic issue, or to get them out of pain within a couple hours of their time. The power to improve someone's physical appearance is invaluable and incredibly rewarding.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am a rising D3 student from Yorktown, VA, where we won our country's independence. Outside of dentistry I enjoy spending time outside; running, biking, golfing (both disc and regular), tennising, and making up words. I enjoy traveling, I've been fortunate to visit a few new states this past year.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Dentistry keeps me excited and engaged with its puzzle like nature. It makes you think and breeds creativity in ensuring patient satisfaction. It allows me to be engaged with my community and to build a rapport with patients that lasts a lifetime. It keeps me satisfied knowing I will never be bored.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
My main hobbies include yoga, exercising, and cooking. I also enjoy doing anything outside, including fishing, boat rides, taking walks along the James River and local parks, spending time with friends and family. I love the beach and I try to spend as much time there as possible.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Dentistry is a rewarding career that blends many things that I value into one profession. It provides the opportunity to serve others and give back to the community while utilizing creativity, meticulous decision making, strong interpersonal interaction, and working with my hands.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I have always had a passion for art, cooking, and the outdoors. I went to a small liberal arts college in rural Virginia , Hampden- Sydney College, where I majored in chemistry and minored in biology and public service. I have a passion for making others laugh, smile, and enjoy life.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Dentistry is more than just fixing cavities, dentistry is bringing smiles and self-confidence to those we treat. I've always enjoyed making people smile and laugh, and I have truly enjoyed working with my patients and starting with someone self-conscious about there smile to someone proud to smile.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I love to stay active by running, swimming, hiking, and a multitude of other activities. I was a gymnast from a young age and competed through college. I enjoy staying up with that by teaching gymnastics on the weekend. I love the outdoors, all animals, and good food- whether cooking or eating it.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
I am passionate about dentistry, because I enjoy having the privilege to restore people's quality of life and confidence through their smile. I, also, love working with my hands, whether cooking, painting, or doing acrobatics, and I am greatly fascinated by the human body and its intricacies.

I like to hang out with friends and watch movies or go out for dinner. I have a dog and I enjoy taking her to the park.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
As dentists, we have caring hearts that motivate us to perpetually expand our knowledge to deliver the best care for our patients with our hands. The natural response of such dentists is to share such knowledge and skills with others by way of both teaching and healing which I find fulfilling.

I am single. I have a lovely miniature schnauzer named "Silver" due to his hair color. I enjoy trying new foods, watching movies and ice-skating.

I think dentistry is a great profession where my knowledge, natural fondness for people, manual dexterity, and strong patience will come together and make me happy.

I have been happily married for a little over two years and my husband and I recently adopted a french bulldog named Schlomo. In my spare time, I enjoying painting (watercolor), cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Dentistry for me is not only artistic, but also altruistic. I have always had a passion for community service and artistry and dentistry combines these two into a rewarding profession. I love the continuity of care we are able to provide our patients and the opportunity to make a difference daily.
