Dr. Thomas Parker Freeman Scholarship Fund
Dr. Thomas Parker Freeman went to Wake Forest University and graduated from the MCV School of Dentistry in 1948. He practiced dentistry for four years in Raleigh, N.C., before joining the U.S. Army and serving his country in Japan, Germany and Korea. While in the Army, Freeman developed a preventive dentistry program that led to his promotion to a full colonel.
In honor of Freeman, his family established the fund in 2007. Its purpose is to provide support for VCU School of Dentistry students who have demonstrated financial need. The school administration will choose the recipient, who may be in any year of dental school.
Criteria
