Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am from a rural city known as Surry County, VA; however, I recently moved to the city. I am currently living with my twin sister and we share an adorable aussiedoodle. After graduating from NSU, I have been working in an orthopedic office. I enjoy spending time with my family and fur baby.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
My passion derives from the lack of proper dental hygiene in underprivileged communities. Many rural areas or low-income populations lack the accessibility and knowledge of preventative dental care. I want to reach out to these communities with my own education and knowledge to make a difference.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in the lovely city of Richmond, VA. I currently live with my dog, Cody, who is a Yorkshire Terrier. When I am not studying, you may find me in the gym, eating at my favorite restaurants or somewhere near a beach spending quality time with my family and friends.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
I am passionate about dentistry because I believe that oral health contributes to quality of life by influencing traits like confidence and self-esteem. Therefore, I have the ability to transform and improve someone’s life by practicing dentistry and educating people on the importance of oral health

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I love to cook for others especially at special occasions; it is something I received from my mother. Whenever, we have a good occasion at home; my mom would cook desert and have us kids deliver it to our friends, family, and neighbors. It is something I have grown to enjoy more and more.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
After being in a clinic for almost a year, I have become more passionate about dentistry than I ever was. It is because of the happiness my patient's bring to my life after I help them out with their problems.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I've studied Tae Kwon Do for the past 10 years. During this time I was not only a student, but a teacher as well. I enjoyed teaching my students, although they could be demanding, the final result was worth the effort. It's a great moment of pride to see students execute techniques precisely.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
I believe no one should be without access to basic health care and preventative dentistry is essential to live a healthy life. I want to be part of creating greater access for all low income Americans.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am a 24 year old junior dental hygiene student at VCU School of Dentistry. My decision to become a dental hygienist stems from a love of science, health, and the people around me. In my spare time, you may find me at Richmond's local restaurants, walking my dog, or spending time with family.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Because 3 hours seems like 30 minutes when I'm in the dental clinic. I have the privilege of guiding my patients through moments. My job is the most exciting and happiest in the entire world, and I would never pick anything else.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am a single woman who enjoys spending time with my dog at the park, taking walks through the city, and going to see bands. I also love to spend time volunteering in my hometown as it is a rural, underprivileged area. I enjoy activities where I can meet new people and serve others.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Dental Hygiene is my passion because it is something that gives patients tangible results. The joy a patient gets from having a clean mouth is something that makes me feel good since I know they feel good. I love when a patient tells me that they enjoy how much time I put into getting to know them.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am twenty-four years old and I'm from Dinwiddie, VA. I bought a house in May of 2017, I am engaged and love my family. Dog Mom. My first year of Dental Hygiene school was an amazing journey and I look forward to continuing my career using evidence-based research to thoroughly care for my patients

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
The doors open and excitement started. The smell of the dentist office was my favorite, plus the treasure chest was a plus. I was that weird kid who loved the old fluoride, you know the one in the tray? I have loved dentistry since a child and I cannot wait to continue my education.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am a rising 4th year student. It has been the best 3 years of my life to be able to learn and to practice dentistry. Other than dentistry, I also love to play board games with my friends. I don't usually stay up late, but when I do, it's a board game night.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
Being at the clinic really ignited my passion towards dentistry. When I am able to offer my service to patients, there is nothing more rewarding. I cannot wait to be more efficient and more skillful in my 4th year.

I come from a big family of eight and grew up in the small town of Covington, VA. I am an active member with my town's local church and humane society and was employed at the shelter before my acceptance into VCU School of Dentistry. I'm an avid reader and enjoy the company of my family and friends.

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
My family had poor access to dental care so regular visits were few and far between. As I pursue my career in dental hygiene, I am amazed at how something as simple as education can motivate and influence our dentition and overall health. This has led me to decide to serve in underprivileged areas.

I am an adventurous dental student with an insatiable apatite for discovering new things. I grew up in Richmond and still every week I find something new here that I have never experienced. Whether it's reading a book on Church Hill, or relaxing with friends on the James, I enjoy new experiences

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
My parents raised me to humbly serve, to put the greatness of us all before myself. Dentistry is my perfect profession. It allows me to channel my love of science and technology, embrace the joys of doctor-patient relationships, freely work with my hands, and enjoy serving my neighbors and community

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I live in Newport News with CPT David Brasefield (ARMY) and our two rescue dogs. In my free time I enjoy volunteering with the VCU SOD. I enjoy water coloring and am a budding birdwatcher from our back deck overlooking the creek. I have counted 10 different bird including a pair of eagles!

Why are you passionate about dentistry?
I know first hand the transformative power of a smile. I experienced it when my braces came off. For the first time, my smile empowered me rather than embarrassed me. I love being part of a field that changes lives for the better. I love when my patients feel confident in when they leave my chair.
