Batleman Memorial Fund
Bernard B. Batleman practiced orthodontics in both Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Va. A successful 1941 alumnus of the MCV School of Dentistry, he created a fund to support any worthy activity in dental education and research.
Upon Batleman's death in 1972, the fund became his memorial to which many of his colleagues, classmates and friends contributed. The fund was extended to memorialize his widow, who died in 1973, and continues to honor its originator.
